These services are led by Dr. Nigel Gumley, current President of the International Veterinary Ultrasound Society (IVUSS) and certified by IVUSS in both abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography, credentials held by very few veterinary practitioners in Canada. Notably, Dr. Gumley is currently the only veterinarian in Ottawa performing musculoskeletal ultrasound, making Cedarview Animal Hospital the only destination in the region for this specialized diagnostic service. His expertise means earlier detection, more accurate diagnoses, and targeted treatment plans that reduce guesswork and unnecessary procedures.
