What We Offer

Underwater Treadmill

We are home to Ottawa’s first underwater treadmill for animal hydrotherapy! Water helps to support low-impact, resistive exercises to help following surgery or injury, to treat a number of degenerative conditions, or to aid in weight-loss or general fitness training.

Canine Massage

Just as in humans, massage therapy can help improve blood flow, reduce pain, promote relaxation and aid in healing of injured or strained muscles. Our Certified Canine Massage Therapists make every effort to ensure treatments are peaceful and anxiety-free your pet.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Did you know that sound waves can help promote tissue healing? Therapeutic ultrasound applies continuous, high-frequency sound waves to injured tissues. We use ultrasound to enhance the rate and quality of healing on incisions, gums and more .

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy can help to reduce swelling and inflammation, relieve pain, increase circulation, and increase range of motion by an infrared light that interacts to tissues on a cellular level. Treatments are often a pleasant experience for pets.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave is a non-invasive treatment that consists of low energy acoustic wave pulses that are directly applied to the injured area. It’s purpose is to trigger the body’s own natural healing process, and can target deep tissues.

Chiropractic

Dr. Kim Holzman is a Fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors and offers chiropractic care as a complement to traditional veterinary medicine. Animal chiropractic can be effective at managing disorders that affect joints, bones, discs, soft tissues and nerves.

Acupuncture

Dr. Gumley and Dr. Holmes are Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturists. Acupuncture uses fine needles inserted into specific points on the body to stimulate a healing response. It can be used to treat non-infections inflammation, pain, and other function problems,

Physical Therapies

Additional physical therapies include targeted exercises tailored to your pet’s unique condition, thermotherapy (using heat), and cryotherapy (using cold). Many of these treatments can be done at home, and are an important part of your pets treatment plan.

Pharmacologic Treatment

Our veterinarians are skilled at treating and detecting pain in dogs and cats. Medication can be useful, along with other treatment options, to improve your pets comfort level, reduce pain and inflammation, and to enhance the benefit of other treatments.
